If only our eyes could see a mirror of ourselves next to every person we see, there is a high possibility that we keep quiet most of the time. We would be ashamed of our own selves rather than focusing on the flaws and mistakes of others. The truth is, we were just as sinful as others, whom we (negatively) thought that they were ‘worse’ than us.

Astaghfirullah, may Allah SWT forgive us…  

Indeed, it is possible to see our own mirror. We actually could plant that mirror in our mind…so long as we constantly remember Him with every breath we take… That Allah SWT and His two angels are looking at us, continuously jotting down our actions, bad and good in our Book of Deeds. 

Be careful. Our mirror could be broken into pieces… Although we may not purposely break it…we could be doing it…if we let Iblis and Shaitan into our mind just because their whispers are so soft, so subtle.

A’udhubillahi minasshaitan nirrajeem… I seek refuge in Allah from the Devil.

Plant the mirror by remembering Him often. Prevent the whispers, also by remembering Him often. Polish the mirror with actions, never let it go murky. We clean the mirror, we polish it, we can see it clearly, inshaAllah.
